Applications for the CPS Elementary School 2020-2021 school year lottery will be accepted between March 23, 2020 and April 10, 2020.

Please come back to this page in between those dates to submit your application.


Things you'll need before applying:


  • Be a resident of the Columbia Public Schools District for the upcoming school year.
  • Visit the school to which you're applying.
  • Register your child in their home school.
  • Know your child's Columbia Public Schools student ID.
  • For students not currently enrolled in Columbia Public Schools, please pre-enroll in your attendance area school to obtain a student number.
  • Have your current, valid email adddress on file in our student information system. Check the email address on file here.


Completing and submitting this lottery application will enroll your student(s) in the Columbia Public School District's lottery process.

After submitting your application, you will receive an email confirmation.

Applications for the Jefferson STEAM Middle School 2020-2021 school year lottery were accepted between October 7, 2019 and November 8, 2019.

After the lottery application window, please contact the school you wish to apply for to be added to the waitlist.
